Game · finished, coming soon
Private Eye: Ghost
The prequel, set in Drill Town twelve years earlier: Dec, his friend Slashed, and a guitar named Ghost.
Finished, and waiting its turn to go out on itch.io. No date - it goes when the one before it has had its time.
Twelve years before the ghost, there was a guitar called Ghost.
Drill Town is an old mining town that most people left. The ones who stayed use the caves to make things nobody should be making. Dec Bones wanted to be a cop there. The law kept getting in the way of doing the right thing, so he became a detective instead.
His best friend was Slashed, a musician. They grew up together in Drill Town, and Slashed was the one person who always saw him.
How it plays
Dec tells this one to the team on a birthday night, years later. You play what he remembers: the bar, the caves, the backstage door, and the cop called Conrad Flanagin who ran his own operation under the badge.
The same detective work as the other games. Clues, lies, and a board that won't add up the way it should.
What is in it
One act. About half an hour. Slashed's song is in it.
It's a prequel, so you can play it first, last, or between the others. It explains a photo on Dec's desk.
The limits, before you play
The artwork and the music are made with AI tools. I'd rather you knew that before you decide than after.
It's sad in places. It isn't cruel about it.
If you finish it, tell me what you think the guitar meant to him.
