Private Eye

Game · finished, coming soon

Private Eye

The full game two. The team forms. About three and a half hours of anime noir in the city of Dyrein.

Finished, and waiting its turn to go out on itch.io. No date - it goes when the one before it has had its time.

The vault money is still in the lair, and somebody has to decide what it's for.

Dec Bones solved his first big case and ended up with a team he didn't ask for. Justin, who can't go home looking the way he looks now. Capital Punishment, who hasn't said yes yet. And a city that's quieter than it should be.

One of the Laughing Fit is in a cell. Two of them aren't, and they remember who put him there.

How it plays

The same detective work as the prologue, a lot more of it. Search the scene, question people, catch the lie with the clue that breaks it, and put the case together on the board.

Some cases are fights. Some are a tail through the city. Some are a phone number that shouldn't work at all.

What is in it

The team forms. A doctor who lost her licence and might be the only person who can help Justin. A man called Snydly who nobody has ever seen.

About three hours twenty at my pace, closer to four and a half if you read everything. Chapters you can go back to once you've reached them.

The limits, before you play

The artwork and the music are made with AI tools. I'd rather you knew that before you decide than after.

It picks up straight after Private Eye: Prologue. Play that one first - it's short.

If you get to the end, tell me whether you think the team should have kept the money.
